For the 3rd year in a row Swimfit is excited to present the Swimfit Four Mile Beach Ocean Swim, a fundraiser for the Port Douglas Surf Life Saving Club.

Swim along famous Four Mile Beach and test your limits in one of the below distances. Enjoy the sunshine and balmy ocean temperature in Tropical North Queensland.

*Plus registration fee. $10 of every registration is donated to the Port Douglas Surf Life Saving Club. Please also note the donation option in the registration process, which will go 100% to the PDSLSC.

What is the course like?

The Four Mile Swim course is 4 laps of 1.6km.

The Two Mile Swim is 2 laps of 1.6km.

The One Mile Swim is 1 lap of 1.6km.

The 500M Swim is 1 lap of 500M.

All swimmers will be required to exit the water after every lap.

 

Will I be able to refuel during the swim

Because everyone is required to exit the swim after every lap there is an opportunity to have a drink or something to eat. A table will be set up at the turn around point on the beach where you will be able to place your own drink bottle/snacks and there will also be a sports drink and lollies provided by Swimfit.

 

Will I be allowed to wear a wetsuit?

You are allowed to wear a wetsuit, but this will make you non-competitive.

Is there a cut-off time for the swims?

Everyone needs to be out of the water by 11.00am due to water safety reasons.

 

Is there age limit to enter the event?

500M Swim - Min 9 years old at time of event

One Mile Swim - Min 14 years old at time of event

Two Mile Swim - Min 14 years old at time of event

Four Mile Swim - Min 14 years old at time of event

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There is ample event parking available on the Esplenade and Garrick Street.

Is my registration transferrable?

Registration is non-transferrable. If you have registered but can't make it to the event please contact Irene Cats on 0428 875 275 or email info@swimfitforlife.com.

 

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, you can update your registration information by logging on to Eventbrite.

 

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Please have your ticket either printed or saved on your phone.

 

What is the refund policy?

Cancellation up until 14 days of the event are fully refundable. Between 14 and 2 days to event 50% of the registration fee can be refunded. Cancellations within 48 hours of the event are non-refundable.
